John Coull Hut and Campground is a DOC managed campsite on the Whanganui River. This campground has a bookable hut, grassy tent sites, toilets, water and a shelter.

This is a popular stop along the river for those doing either a 3 or 5 day journey. It is a short walk uphill from the river and good practice for untying your barrels and carrying them up the steep river bank.
