Partnachklamm, also known as the Partnach Gorge, is a breathtaking natural wonder located in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. This 700-meter-long gorge features tunnels and caves carved into rock formations, allowing visitors to trek past trickling waterfalls while listening to the soothing sounds of a flowing river.
It's pleasantly cool in summer and transforms into a magical world of icicles in winter. The gorge is accessible year-round and offers a unique experience in every season.
Entry is €10, with tickets available online or at the entrance. Parking is available at the Olympic Ski Stadium in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. From there, it’s about a 30-minute walk to the gorge entrance.
It’s highly recommended to arrive early, especially on weekends, as the area can get very crowded and long wait times are common. Sturdy footwear and rain protection are essential, as the trail through the gorge is always wet and dripping from the rock walls.
