Via Roma is one of the main streets in Polignano's historic center. There's one special feature about it - the light installations depicting the lyrics of the beautiful, famous song "Nel blu dipinto di blu" (known as "Volare") by the Polignano-born Domenico Modugno. So, apart from seeing his statue near the sea, I find that strolling through this street and following his lyrics is another great way to acknowledge this cultural icon.
