Unique "Beach" in Puglia

Beach

Cala Porticciolo is a total gem tucked away in Santa Cesarea Terme. I was eager to visit this kind of "beach" in Puglia, as I've seen photos of several similar spots along the Salento coastline. It's not really a beach but a place where the cliffs and remains of an old structure created "natural swimming pools" and unusual access points to the sea. There are staircases where you can go down to the water, but be careful, as this area is rocky and not like an ordinary beach.
