Just a short walk from Cumberland Lake Campground up a rather steep hill, you’ll find several waterfalls tucked away in the forest. The main waterfall cascades dramatically down the corner of a large cliff, creating a rugged and wild scene. Photographing can be tricky, as the terrain is steep and uneven, with plenty of fallen tree debris to navigate. However, some unique compositions can be found for those willing to put in the effort.

In addition to the main fall, there are a couple of smaller cascades. They’re more like seepages, but after a heavy rainfall, they flow surprisingly well. The area is also worth a visit in winter, as a deep freeze can transform the waterfalls into stunning ice formations, creating an entirely different kind of beauty.
