Gold Cord Lake became one of our favorite hikes in the area this summer. As a fairly easy hike (1.8 miles, 530 feet elevation gain), the incredible views are 100% worth the stop. If it's nice out, I recommend bringing a picnic to have at the top! Just make sure to pack out everything with you. There is a boulder section, and it can get very muddy depending on the season, so make sure to bring proper footwear.
