Quintin Castle is an old ,beautiful castle situated in County Down, Northern Ireland. It is around 4 km away from the port of Portaferry and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the region.
The castle was owned by the Montgomerys for centuries before George Ross inherited it. While Ross never lived in the castle, during the early 19th century it was restored by his descendant Elizabeth Calvert, making this stunning property full of historical charm and character.
After many years in a more ruined state, Quintin Castle has now been extensively refurbished and changed hands most recently in late 2006. Although it still holds much mystery, surrounding its past, today it offers visitors the chance to explore an open courtyard, and revel in its rich history.
The Castle was also a Game of Thrones set location and It served as the location for Stokeworth in Season 5: Episode 2.
