The Orthodox Luermen Shengmu Temple in Taiwan is known as the world's largest Mazu temple complex, covering a whopping forty hectares of land. Established in 1661 by Koxinga after expelling the Dutch, the temple boasts impressive Ming dynasty flexible Mazu statues and a responsive Yue Lao, the god of marriage and love. Visitors can also witness the unique Tucheng Centipede Performance Troupe and the historic Ji Leopard Ritual Stele. With its grand architecture and rich history, this temple is a must-visit for those interested in Taiwanese religious culture.
