This is a spot that surprised us if we're honest. It was a bit of a last minute booking on a trip down to The New Forest and we arrived in the dark to a nice pub with a cosy room that was perfectly comfortable. But the real star of the show didn't reveal itself until the following morning when we looked out our window and saw the pubs gardens are all built around a beautiful river that runs through the middle of the site.
The Old Mill is a large pub with gardens and rooms just outside of the traditional town of Lymington. The menu was the basics with a few twists and we found the food pretty good. If you're into American style sliders as a starter or just to have with some beers then this place does that really well.
We would recommend staying here if you're a couple and don't want to splash that much as its affordable and decent quality. But if you're near the area on a warm day, this is certainly one to check out for a beer and some food in their amazing pub gardens... full disclosure we haven't actually done that ourselves as we were in a rush but will definately be heading back to sample!
