Upton-upon-Severn is a pretty little town on the banks of the river Severn which is well worth a wander if you find yourself in the area. With 15th Century black and white houses, a medieval church known as 'The Pepperpot', as well as a variety of independent shops and cafes, there's plenty to see and do if you have a spare morning or afternoon.

The small town also hosts a variety of music festivals over the summer, including the Jazz, Blues, Folk and Sunshine festivals which attract thousands of visitors from all over. We've not been lucky enough to experience one yet, but if you're planning to visit over the summer months be sure to check your dates as it could be a great addition to your trip if they were to align. Alternatively if you're looking for a quieter trip and more options for accommodation it might be best to avoid these dates!
