With it's epic clifftop location and links to King Arthur, these medieval ruins are worth a look even if historical buildings aren't really your thing.

The ruins are spread across the mainland and the small island which can be accessed by a bridge connecting the two. It's worth noting there are about 40 steep steps that you will need to climb which should be kept in mind for anyone with mobility issues.

If the tide's out we also recommend exploring the small beach and Merlin's Cave (which according to legend is where Merlin lived).

The Beach Cafe here is also great for a coffee or quick bite... or go for the full Cornish experience and order a cream tea!
