Tregardock Beach, holds a special place in our hearts. We have been lucky enough to visit a few times and every time it has knocked our socks off.
Genuinely hidden on Cornwall's north coast near Delabole and Tintagel, Tregardock Beach is special because at high tide it basically doesn't exist other than a beautiful viewpoint at the top of the cliff... BUT as the sea draws out it reveals some steps down to the sand. Sand that is peppered with huge rocks, making for a bizarre but amazing place to walk. And right down the far end you can climb up onto the larger rocks where the sea will have left big rock pools, deep enough to bathe in - something we highly recommend you do!
However do be really careful with the tides here, make sure you know what the timings are, as once the water comes in you are cut off and there will most likely be no one else around.
In terms of exactly how to get there, this is one of those places we feel people should have to work to find (as we did) in order to keep it for the people that really appreciate its uniqueness. What's more, finding it is all part of the adventure!
