Pack Horse Inn in Crowdecote is our go-to spot for food after hiking Chrome Hill & Parkhouse Hill, and we honestly think it’s one of the best pubs in the area. Located just three miles from Chrome Hill, it’s only an easy 8-minute drive and makes the perfect stop for a late lunch or early dinner once you’ve finished exploring the hills.

The pub itself is exactly what you want after a walk — a beautiful stone building with a warm, traditional feel and a really cosy atmosphere inside. The food is excellent and consistently good, which is why it’s such a popular place with both walkers and locals.

Parking is limited and it can get busy, especially at peak times, so if you can, we highly recommend booking in advance to avoid missing out. If you’re planning a day around Chrome Hill, this is the perfect way to end it.
