Point Defiance Park
Park
Directions

When the mountain is out, this is the place you want to be. Point Defiance Park is great way to spend a few hours in Tacoma. It's huge, and you can easily make a whole afternoon out of exploring the forested trails, walking along the waterfront, checking out the gardens, or stopping by Owen Beach. It feels like a little escape from the city, even though you're only minutes away from downtown, Tacoma. It's great for when you want to get outdoors and do a hike, but don't feel like driving a couple hours to do so!
