ow to Get There
Rocky’s is right across the bridge in Kasol, just a short walk from where the main road dips into the market area. You cross over the river, take that little left uphill, and it’s right there, can’t miss it unless you’re hungover or distracted by a dog.
What to Expect
It’s low-key. Nothing fancy. But somehow, every time I go, I end up staying longer than planned. The place just has this easy energy. I’ve seen solo backpackers writing in journals and a dog in a jacket at the next table. The spinach corn cheese momos are the real deal. Their pancakes are also actually good (not the usual dry ones you regret). Oh, and the hot chocolate? You’ll be ordering another before you're done with the first.
For the Curious
It’s one of those old Kasol places that hasn’t tried to turn itself into a TikTok set. The guy running it has probably seen Kasol before it became Kasol, if that makes sense. I asked him once about nearby hikes, and he pulled out this crumpled piece of paper with scribbled trail notes. Legend.
Good to Know
Cash is safer here, and don’t expect fancy service, just honest food, good music, and a quiet corner to exist in.
