1-2h

The Kaituna Rafting experience is one of the most famous rafting trips in New Zealand. The Kaituna River drops through 14 grade 5 rapids and finishes with the 7 metre Tutea Falls, which is the world’s highest commercially rafted waterfall.

The full experience takes around 2 hours total and you spend about 1 hour actually rafting on the river. No rafting experience is necessary to do this activity!

This part of New Zealand is incredibly beautiful, with lush green native bush lining the gorge the entire way, so not only is it a fun (and thrilling) experience, you also can enjoy being in an incredibly beautiful piece of the world.

Everything is provided, you just need to bring togs and a towel. Transfers are also included from central Rotorua, with pickup times confirmed at booking.

Minimum age is 13 years old for the full Grade 5 trip (including Tutea Falls) or 10 years old for the Grade 3 half trip.
