The Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site is a somber and powerful place that serves as a reminder of the atrocities committed during World War II. Visitors can see the preserved barracks, gas chambers, and crematoriums, gaining insight into the horrors faced by prisoners at the camp. The memorial site also features exhibitions and educational programs to ensure that the history of Dachau is never forgotten.
This is something I wouldn't recommend if you have kids under the age of 12 in your group. Some of the photos in the museum part are quite graphic and upsetting. But if you are a group of adults or have older kids, it is a very impactful reminder of what happened. I believe it is an important learning opportunity to walk these grounds.
