Tucked away in a stunning Alpine valley, Linderhof Palace is King Ludwig II's smallest but most lavishly decorated castle. You'll feel like you've stepped into a fairytale as you wander through the gilded, jewel-box rooms on an intimate guided tour. The real magic, however, lies in the magnificent gardens that unfold around the palace. Plan for a leisurely stroll from the car park, which takes about 10-15 minutes to reach the palace itself, giving you time to soak in the incredible mountain scenery before you even arrive.
