The Church of Santa Maria was built in the 14th century by the Dominican Order and renovated and reopened in 2016. The valuable frescoes can be seen in the sacristy, choir, and cloister.

In addition to the neo-Gothic high altar, the carved altar depicting the scene of the death of the Virgin Mary, made by Riemenschneider's countrymen, and the medieval frescoes are also noteworthy.
