The old Munich post office was built between 1747-58.

It was called Palais Törring-Jettenbach and is one of the most beautiful buildings in the city.

In 1834 it was sold to the post office, and renovated between 1836-39 by the architect Leo von Klenze.

It was destroyed in the war, but rebuilt soon after.
