From the Köln Triangle, head back toward the Rhine and follow the riverbank southward. You will arrive at a massive flight of stairs along the banks of the Rhine (spanning a total of 500 meters), which was created a few years ago as part of the Rhine Boulevard in the Deutz district.

Especially in fine weather, this is the perfect spot to soak up the sun, enjoy the panorama of the Old Town, and watch the passing ships.

Word has already spread that the view is excellent: on pleasant, mild summer evenings, the place can get quite crowded. And that is when Cologne locals and tourists mingle cheerfully.
