Situated between two squares — Rathausplatz and Alter Markt — the Old Town Hall building houses part of the city government, including the City Council and the Mayor's offices.

It is one of the oldest town halls in Germany, with a documented history spanning approximately 900 years.

Today, the main complex consists of various structures added successively in different architectural styles: these include the central town hall building, constructed in the 14th century; the Gothic-style tower, built in the 15th century; and the Renaissance-style Lion Courtyard, featuring arches, added in the 16th century.

Opening

Open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM; Fridays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Address

Rathausplatz 1
