- The square houses the Alte Post (old Post Office) building, constructed between 1550 and 1602, resulting from the joining of two smaller houses. Located at Marktplatz 9, right in the heart of Tauberbischofsheim, it was originally part of the post office of the Princes of Thurn und Taxis, who were responsible for postal service during this period.
