It's a small mountain, 1055 meters high, located 16km from Steingaden, and well worth a visit.

At the top there is a small church (“St. Georg”) and an observation platform in the tower, offering panoramic views.

It has a restaurant, café and hotel, the Panorama-Gasthof auf dem Auerberg. The restaurant operates normally from the beginning of March until December, starting at 11:30 AM.

Also visit a lovely shop there with traditional ceramics from the region.
