This fountain features a statue of Emperor Augustus.

It was erected in 1594 to commemorate the city's anniversary and its founder, and it stands in front of the Rathaus (City Hall).

The four figures at the base of the fountain represent its four rivers: Lech, Brunnenbach, Singold, and Wertach.
