The Antiquarium is the oldest room still standing in the Munich Residenz.

At 66 meters long, it is one of the largest and most magnificent Renaissance halls north of the Alps.

Duke Albert V built it between 1568 and 1571 for his collection of ancient sculptures. The name "Antiquarium" derives from these antiquities.
