The city's castle was built in the 16th century and still has rooms with their original, very well-preserved furniture.

The Rittersaal (Knights' Hall) in the south wing is fantastic. It occupied two floors and was considered the largest and most beautiful of its time. The ceiling is entirely painted with hunting scenes. Valuable portraits and numerous landscapes, ornaments, and stuffed animal heads decorate the walls. Even more magnificent are the marvelous stucco structures around the fireplace and the hall, including a realistic representation of a battle against the Turks on the wall of the banquet hall. It's worth a visit.

Don't miss the castle's wonderful Baroque-style gardens, built in 1709.
