Built by the painter Hubert von Herkomer, in a Romantic-Neo-Gothic style.

Inspired by medieval towers, but conceived as a residence and artistic studio.

Although built only in the 19th century as an artist's residence, it stands on the old fortifications and today is part of the city's historical landscape, being a cultural symbol and often hosting exhibitions.
