The graceful Amalienburg Castle was built between 1734-1739 by François Cuvilliés and is part of the Nymphenburg Park complex.

This hunting lodge was a gift from Elector Karl Albrecht to his wife Amelie, daughter of Emperor Joseph I.

The beautiful circular hall of mirrors features vibrant silver and blue colors (the colors of Bavaria), decorated in Rococo style, and is considered one of the most beautiful castles of this style in Europe.
