Plönlein
Rothenburg's Fairytale Corner
Category

Photospot

The famous fork in the road, one of the most photographed places in Germany!

To the left, the road leads to the Siebersturm, and to the right it descends to the famous Kobolzeller Tor tower, which provides access to the Tauber River valley. The view just past the Kobolzeller Tor is very beautiful.

The house located exactly on Plönlein is now a Chinese restaurant.

The name Plönlein comes from the Latin planum, meaning planes or levels, as the house is situated on two different levels.
