In this magnificent Palace, the visitor is transported back in time!
It is certainly one of the most beautiful Palaces in Europe. It was built in 1663-1664 for Princess Henriette Adelaide, in honor of the birth of her son.
Later, Henriette's son, Maximilian II, and his grandson, Karl Albrecht, created four more pavilions built next to the palace, which were connected by passageways. The entire palace complex measures 600m in length.
Inside the palace, highlights include the Gallery of Beauties, created by Maximilian I, which displays paintings of the most beautiful young women of Munich at the time. The palace also features beautiful tapestries, sculptures, and many famous paintings in the richly decorated rooms and halls. A luxury!
Don't miss visiting the Festsaal in the palace as well, a beautiful Rococo-style ballroom, its decoration paying homage to the goddess Flora.
The Palace Gardens are an immense park, with magnificent fountains and several other important buildings along the way. It's worth strolling through them and appreciating the abundance of nature. Unforgettable!
