Bismarckturm
Vineyard Views at Bismarck Tower
Category

Sightseeing

The tower was inaugurated in 1905 and is a Natural Heritage monument of Bismarck Forest, and although the tower itself isn't open, the real reward is the journey through the famous "Würzburger Stein" vineyards and the panoramic scenery from the top. It's a perfect spot for a picnic and a peaceful break from the city buzz.

The walk from the nearest public transport stop, 'Oberer Schalksbergweg', takes about 10-15 minutes, or you can take a brisk 20-25 minute uphill walk from the main train station.

From there you have a fantastic view of Würzburg and the Main river!
