The Altes Rathaus (Old Town Hall) of Weikersheim is one of the city's most important historical landmarks.
Located in the Marktplatz, in the heart of the old town, the building dates back to the 16th century and is an excellent example of Renaissance architecture in the Tauberfranken region.
Originally, the Altes Rathaus served as the city's administrative headquarters, housing the town hall offices and meeting rooms for municipal decisions. Its facade is decorated with details typical of the period, such as framed windows, sculpted ornaments, and an imposing central portal that highlights the main entrance.
Over the centuries, the building has undergone renovations, but always maintaining its historical charm and integrating modern elements to meet contemporary administrative functions.
