One of the most beautiful bridges in Europe!

It was built on the site of a previous bridge, dating from 1120, which had been the first stone bridge in Germany. The pillars were built between 1476 and 1488, and the pavement was initially made of wood. To avoid the high maintenance costs of wood, stone flooring was started in 1512.

Around 1730, the bridge was enriched with Baroque statues of saints, 4.5 meters high.

During World War II, the bridge was completely destroyed, but it was restored soon after. It's worth a visit.
