It is the most beautiful Rococo-style facade in southern Germany. It was the former residence of the cathedral priest between 1338 and 1406.

During the air raid on Würzburg on March 16, 1945, the building was completely destroyed and its facade collapsed.

Reconstruction based on old photographs lasted until about the mid-1950s.

Since 1952, the building has housed the Tourist Information Center and ticket office. Step inside to gather maps and tips for your adventures, or simply admire the intricate architectural details from a café on the square.
