The Wind Cave Visitor Center is the perfect starting point for exploring Wind Cave National Park. Open daily (except for major holidays), this center offers exhibits on the park's history, cave formations, and prairie management. You can also catch a movie about the cave and the surrounding area. Need info on cave tours, maps, or permits? They've got you covered. Plus, it's all wheelchair accessible, so everyone can join in on the fun.
Pro Tips:
We recommend booking a tour in advance. Some tours are available the same day and others open up for reservations 3 months in advance.
For beginners, we recommend the Garden of Eden cave tour. If you're looking for more of an adventure, the Wild Cave tour is a 4 hours exploration of the cave involving crawling, squeezing, and climbing. The elevator has been undergoing repairs, so if it is not yet open, the Candlelit Tour is a great back-up!
