This is one of the most famous beaches of Iceland. Some think it's the only black beach, that's not true. However it is one of the most spectacular.

Be extra careful on days with big waves and pay attention to the warning signs. This beach has sneaker waves that can be 5x as big as regular waves and come up without warning. Tourists have died here because they got swept away by a sneaker wave and drowned. Stay away from the waves but do enjoy this amazing beach.
