Gjáin is a hidden gem tucked away in Þjórsárdalur valley in South-Iceland and very popular by locals on a sunny summer day. You can hike to the area from the Viking settlement manor at Stöng, or drive up the road to the main parking lot. Note that this road crosses a small river and is very bumpy. From the parking lot, it's a 15 min hike to get down the canyon and to the waterfalls.
