There are two ways to get to Bruarfoss...

  1. Park at the FREE lot right along Road 37 (Laugarvatnsvegur) to the east of the bridge and walk roughly 1.5 hours. You'll pass two other waterfalls on the way. In winter and spring, the trail can become very icy and muddy.

  2. Park at the PAID lot by turning onto the road east of the bridge. Pay via Parka app (no kiosks available) and walk along the flat gravel path for about 5 minutes. After visiting Bruarfoss you may walk the trail for about 20 minutes to see two other waterfalls before turning back to the parking lot.

Once there, you'll find an ice blue river carving through the rocks. A good tip is to shoot this with long shutter for a cool effect.
