It's a 30 min detour from the main road to get here. Once you parked there's a bit of a slippery path to get down to the beach and walk out to Hvitserkur. Bring good hiking shoes. On low tide you can walk around it. Do take a look to the opposite side of the river that comes out, sometimes there's a lot of seals!
