In summer this is a good spot to see puffins. They nest in the cliffs and you can see them flying in and out to catch fish in the ocean. For the rest of the year Dyrholaey is a very good place to visit. You'll get a great view over the black beach and the famous arch in the cliff.

It can become very windy here and you may even get sprayed by the waves.

There are two parking lots to view the area. This particular spot is accessible from the upper parking lot as well as "Dyrholaey Lighthouse". The lower parking lot has toilets and is a short 5 minute walk to a different viewpoint where you may get splashed by the waves.
