What you’ll do

This is a guide for 3 full days in Stockholm with a focus on Östermalm and central Stockholm. At upscale Östermalm you'll find beautiful architecture and fascinating museums. In this guide we will cover my personal highlights and how I like to navigate this area - including food, sights, museums, cafés and nightlife.

Today we are starting to explore the area of Östermalm which stretches all the way to the island of Djurgården. A day filled with sightseeing, exploring and good food!

Lets start the day at Le in Östermalm, if you dont fancy breakfast at your hotel. Le is a hip brunch place in Östermalm tucked away in a courtyard. I really like the design here, which is very airy with lots of greenery! On the meny you will find a variety of brunch classics and also a lot of vegan options, which I love! Avo-toast with vegan feta and why not a mimosa to go with it?
From here we are just a short walk away from Strandvägen, which is Stockholm`s promenade by the water. You will find locals and tourists strolling around here every day, browsing the shop windows of Svenskt Tenn or enjoy the views on the water while walking. From Le you can walk down to Strandvägen 1 and then continue towards Djurgården.
Once you arrive at Djurgårdsbron, which is a really beautiful for taking in the views. You can either hop on the tram from here to the final stop on Djurgården (Waldemarsudde) or continue walking there. If you decide to walk, you should definitely turn right after the bridge and walk by the water.
Rosendals Trädgård is popular among all ages and is a great destination to have your lunch today. They offer a variety of lunches of the day, cakes and pastries. In summer they also serve ice cream. Have a look at the gardens here, the little shop and why not have your lunch under the apple trees in the garden.
When you feel ready to leave, its time for the ultimate Sweden experience - ABBA the museum. This is a haven for all ABBA fans, young and old. What I really love here is that it is not just your typical exhibition, but really an interactive experience, where you can learn about the bands history, sing along their songs and discover some surprising facts.
From ABBA the museum its a short walk down to the ferry stop where you can hop on the public transport boat towards Slussen (Allmänna Gränd -> Skeppsholmen). Its just one stop and you should let them know that you want to get off here, so they will stop at Skepphsolmen. Skeppsholmen is a beautiful island that has a lot of museums and makes a perfect walk into the city. If you keep to the left, you will get views on the old town and the castle from here as well and finally you will end up at Skeppsholmsbron, taking you directly back into the city.
Time for dinner now and tonight we are having ramen. There have been a lot of ramen restaurants opening during the past years and SIN Ramen Lounge is one of them. They have a unique design, resembling a Tokyo metro station entrance and their ramen is also fantastic. You should definitely also get the Korean Fried Oumph (or chicken) here to share.
After dinner let`s head to the nearby röda huset for a drink while watching the city lights and statue at Sergels Torg. They have a cocktail menu with a focus on the Nordics and their interior is also inspired by this. They are a relatively new bar, but have already made a name for themselves in the international scene, being voted in the 100 best bars.
