Svalvogavegur is one of the most dangerous roads in Iceland. It was carved by Elís Kjaran Friðfinnsson out of sheer mountain ledge near Ófæruvík cove in 1973 and 1974. This 24 kilometer road winds its way through some of the most spectacular views of nature that the Westfjords in Iceland have to offer; stunning mountains, hidden coves, gorgeous lava fields and Svalvogaviti lighthouse. It’s an amazing adventure full of beauty, excitement and danger!
