Paddling on the lagoon provides a magnificent view of the ice cap and the vast dome of ice that rises above it, making it truly one of the natural wonders of Iceland. The tour was fully guided and we were provided with top-of-the-line drysuits and all necessary equipment, making the experience both enjoyable and safe. The kayaks were SIT-ON-TOP boats, very stable and suitable even for those who have never gone kayaking before. It was a unique opportunity to paddle amongst floating ice bergs and observe the local wildlife, including seals and birds.
