The Gardens of Bomarzo, colloquially known as the Park of Monsters, is a breathtaking Renaissance monumental complex located in Bomarzo, Italy. It was created in the 16th century and attributed to architect Pirro Ligorio and sculptures by Simone Moschino, featuring overgrown vegetation with grotesque sculptures amidst it. The site of surreal beauty has inspired man famous figures in art including artist Salvador Dali and poet Andre Pieyre de Mandiargues and countless other literary, musical and cinematic works. It remains a popular tourist attraction today, offering a mystifying journey into the Italian manornist style and architecture of the past.
