Definitely worth a stop if you've got the time. We actually stopped & made lunch in the car park. The Old Eucla Telegraph Station is one of the most atmospheric stops on the Nullarbor. Built in the 1870s to connect Western Australia with the rest of the country via telegraph line, it was eventually abandoned as shifting sand dunes slowly swallowed the building.

Today, the stone ruins sit dramatically against the desert landscape — partially buried and surrounded by wind-shaped dunes.

Its a unique stop, i'd recommend this for sure especially if you're into historic sites.

What’s here:
✔ Historic stone ruins
✔ Sand dunes you can walk on
✔ Unique photo spot (especially at golden hour)
✔ Short walking access from parking area

Important notes:
✔ Short sandy walk from the car park (wear proper footwear)
✔ No shade or facilities at the ruins
✔ Be respectful — it’s a protected historic site

Note: Once leaving the highway it becomes a dirt road. While its a bit bumpy and there was large puddles in parts (after rainfall), its definitely accessible in 2WD.
