Check out the old road. Until the tunnel opened a couple of years ago this was the main road from south to north Westfjords. Closed in the winter months and famous for insane amounts of snow, nowadays it’s open for traffic during the peak of summer. Windy turns and sheer drops on one side, this road is a highlight for many Westfjords travellers.
