This sounds like a joke but it's not... The Sourtoe Cocktail is a Yukon tradition involving a real human toe, preserved in salt and presented as part of an otherwise normal drink! The legend began in 1973, when Captain Dick Stevenson found the first toe, originally belonging to a miner and rum runner from the 1920s. Since then, seven more toes have been donated to the bar, from various sources such as frostbite victims and those recovering from corns! To this day, the only rule remains that your lips must touch the toe and you can consume it any way you want. Spice up your drinks with some history and try out the world-famous Sour Toe Cocktail!

They do it every evening at the Jack London Grill located in the Downtown Hotel. They also serve up some really yummy burgers and bar food here. It has a fun saloon atmosphere to it.

It's a right of passage and the quickest way to become a "Sourdough"
