Miles Canyon is a spectacular canyon located close to downtown Whitehorse. The canyon is known for its steep walls and flowing turquoise Yukon river. Theres a bridge over the canyon which is a classic photo spot. You can explore trails from the opposite side of the canyon as the parking lot. If take the trail on the right it takes to a little island that people often picnic on. It may be tempting to go for a dip in the river but there are very strong currents that have swept people away.
