Kiyotsu Gorge is an art installation built to enable the public to view this beautiful gorge safely. The tunnel of light is a stunningly eye-catching spot that makes for the perfect photo.

Just park at the parking lot, pay your entrance fee, and make your way down the tunnel enjoying various other art installations. It's about a 500m walk to reach the Tunnel of Light. The water on the floor is very shallow around the edges of the tunnel but gets up to knee deep in the centre so don't slip!

It is also stroller and wheelchair accessible

Getting there Take the express bus bound for “Morimiyanohara” from JR Echigo-Yuzawa station to Kiyotsukyou-Iriguchi bus stop and walk to the tunnel
